Well, we are down to the wire with baby No. 2. Woke up on Tues with contractions and thought we might have a baby by the end of the day or following morning. Contractions seemed to lessen when Doc put me on bedrest - so as of now we are still pregnant. I go again this coming Tues to see my progression and if Feb. 21 will be the big day.
I am definatley "ready" for this baby. Mentally I have been ready for this baby since Christmas~!!! It has been a rough ride, so to have my "body back" and begin to live normaly will be an absolute blessing. I do know though, that doc know best and when she told me Tues. night that she wanted to wait it out a little longer, I understood her reservations and agreed to do what was best for baby. Doc and Daniel thinks its a girl, I still think we have a stinky boy. Either way - healthy baby is what we pray for.
So.......I am at home - bedridden until next Tues. Today was my first day and I started to go stir-crazy around 2pm. I have a very good friend that is bed-ridden in the hospital and has been and will be for about 10 wks - I am in complete awe of her. Staying off your feet is not the easiest thing to do and I am a stubborn one!!! (ha). Tomorrow will be a little better, my mom is coming to keep me company in the afternoon and Daniel and I are having Date Night "In" tomorrow evening.
Alyson is wonderful - she is my absolute joy and no matter how bad of mood I am in about being on bedrest - she lights my world the min. Daniel and her walk in the door from the day. She is doing well adjusting to her "big girl bed" some night we succomb to the crib - but as of this wknd, we will not have that option. I was really looking foward to taking her to the rodeo this wknd, but since mommy is on bed rest I guess we will have to wait for next years and take both of the kiddos!!
Wish me luck -- I will be eating lots of pineapple and praying that this baby comes sooner than later.
